it definitely stimulates! the feeling is comparable to the wire scalp massagers. feels like your scalp is being awakened for the first time. I like the fact it is type c charging and most important there is a safety for the laser light. it only turns on close to the scalp so you don't hurt your eyes accidently looking at it. it says you can use wet or dry. I imagine it would be better paired with batana oil or other hair growth oils. I have some slight patches in my beard I'm going to experiment on. but, for that I'll include a derma roller. I absolutely love this device. It is very easy to use. I am on Spironolactone, Ketoconazole shampoo and Nutrafol both prescribed and recommended by my dermatologist. I also take birth control to help regulate hormones as well as hair growth serums, thinning shampoos and this is actually working. This has happened before and then the excessive shedding returned but never regrowth! This device seems to have stopped the shedding so it can actually have time to recover and regrow.
