Breo N6 Mini Neck Massager

This is a pretty good neck and shoulder massager, especially considering it’s cordless. I worried it might not be very powerful as it doesn’t need to be plugged into an outlet directly but it’s gets a decent amount of power and lasts a good 40 minutes.

It digs into my muscles less than the ones with the sharp arms so if you like your massages to feel like thumbs digging into your shoulders then this probably isn’t the right one for you. It’s firm while not being aggressive, as it’s using rotating balls to massage. I personally prefer this as I can use this longer. Others I’ve used have left my neck sore and take me 24-48 hours to recover. This I have used consecutively for a week with no issues.

It auto switches off after one session (10 minutes) to prevent the motor overheating. You can run it again after. It will refuse to turn on when the motor gets to a certain temperature to protect the motor from getting damaged. If you let it rest for an hour or two it’ll start up again. I usually take that as an opportunity to charge it and take a break. Because of this, I tend to use it without the heat function on because it gets warm as I’m using it anyway.

I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of how quickly it switches from clockwise to counter clockwise when massaging in default mode (it’s almost instant). You can press the rotation button to get it to switch to one direction which is what I end up doing.

Takes ages to charge and you can’t use it while it’s plugged in (charging) so I recommend charging it immediately after each use so it’s full when you want to use it.

It’s a compact and fairly powerful massager that’s affordable for what it is. Doesn’t replace a massage by a professional but it’s really nice that I can take this out at the end of a long day and wind down with it, as often as I like.

If you need very strong massages, I’d explore other options, but for the average person, or anyone with chronically sore neck or shoulders, this is more than ample strength-wise.

I don't think this is the greatest value in the world, but the build quality, finish and performance definitely do make it stand out compared to cheaper ones on the market. Closer to $140 seems more reasonable, but if you're buying it as a gift for someone, they'll notice it really is a step up compared to cheaper junk you see in bargain bins.

I did a video of it on my arm so you could get a sense of how it would look operating, but on my neck, it felt like fingers giving me a deep massage. The handles mean you can pull it in to get it nice and deep, but the back strap is really good for holding it in place- I was easily able to walk around the house and do chores - and type this review - while still getting a really good massage. The warmth it puts out is concentrated along the neck and will become even more enjoyable during the colder months.

I thought this would be one for my partner- but here I am right now really enjoying it, so if you like a massage (and maybe if you don't), you'll probably enjoy this too.
